While we work very hard to make Harwood House a first class Stansted Airport B&B by offering top notch service, fabulous breakfasts and safe, secure parking for those travelling to other destinations, what makes it all possible is our location. We’re only a stone’s throw from Stansted and most of the meats and produce used in our breakfasts come from the bounty of the beautiful Essex countryside Harwood House calls home. Our jams and marmalades are all made in house, another detail we are particularly proud of that offers those looking for a Stansted Airport B&B a unique experience.
Harwood House at the World’s Original Marmalade Festival
The World’s Original Marmalade Festival at Dalemain is held on 28 Feb and 1 March at Dalemain Mansion & Historic Gardens near Penrith in Cumbria. The event showcases over 2000 world class marmalades similar to the ones served at Harwood House. The festival offers something for the whole family including an artisan food fair and craft stands, Laithwaite’s Wine & Beer Tasting, as well as plenty of activities for children, such as face painting, Paddington Bear Book Readings, Children’s Treasure Hunt and much more. Far be it from Harwood House to be left out of such a fun event. This year Sandra’s delicious marmalade is being entered! The same marvellous jams served with Harwood’s delicious breakfasts every morning.
