June Days Out Essex

A duck in the Pond of Audley End House in Essex in England. It is a medieval county house. Now it is under protection of the English Heritage.

If you have not begun to plan your early summer holiday, don’t wait any longer. The month of June is the perfect time to visit Essex and enjoy the many offerings of the region, including the Essex Summer of Art events. The largest annual visual arts festival in the county, showcasing artists from across the country, makes this an exhibition that you won’t want to miss. And, after a full day of exploring, Harwood House Stansted B&B is the perfect place to unwind.

June Days Out Essex Highlights

In addition to the numerous programs of exhibitions, there are plenty of workshops and activities for the entire family to take part in. Plan your getaway to include the Brentwood Art Trail at Brentwood, 15-30 June, which is a fantastic way to view the work of several talented local artists. Enjoy shopping at fine establishments, gourmet dining and plenty of galleries to explore when you visit.

Historic Harwich and Dovercourt will have a wide range of art on display during Harwich Festival 2016 at Harwich, running between 24 June and 3 July. A huge art installation will also be featured during the festival, created by the community’s young artists, and there will be music, spoken word, dance and art to be viewed throughout the week.

Another great event to plan your holiday around is the Burnham Art Trail at Burnham on Crouch. This art walk spans two weekends, beginning the 25th of June and ending on the 3rd of July. Art ranging from paintings and photography to ceramics and sculptures will be on hand as well as special artist-led events. Burnham offers plenty of cafes and restaurants to explore along with the beautiful art exhibitions.
