Great Dunmow Soap Box Race

Great Dunmow Soap Boax RaceOn Sunday, 27 May 2018, 60 teams aim to battle it out at the first ever Great Dunmow Soap Box Race. Racers from local schools, colleges and businesses as well as a number of daring individuals will compete to be named champion.

Proceeds from the Soap Box Race support local charity, Great Dunmow & District Round Table. Great Dunmow Round Table fosters community fellowship, while raising money for important local causes.

Great Dunmow Soap Box Race: What to Expect

The course running along Braintree Road includes a bone shaker, jumps and slalom. Expect to see near misses, spectacular crashes and thrills and spills.

The Soap Box Race is free to watch. An optional donation at the gate goes directly to charity. Though the race is the main-event, you’ll find children’s activities, stalls, food and a bar at the recreational ground.

The event runs from 10:00 – 16:00 at Braintree Road, Great Dunmow, CM6 1HT. Doors will open at 10:00, and races start at 11:00. Spectator parking via public car parks.
